Streamlined design supports quick transitions

1985 was a pivotal moment not just for but for basketball footwear in general. In just one year we saw the release of the Dunk, the first ever Air Jordan and the Terminator. With so much heat all in the same drop you'd be forgiven for overlooking the Terminator from this era.

The original Terminator was dressed in the grey and navy of Georgetown University. Thanks to coach John Thompson's relationship as a consultant to Nike, the brand made this shoe for the 1984 national champion Georgetown Hoyas. This was the first and possibly only example of an exclusive school sneaker.
